The Strathalbyn 7-12 site is set amongst extensive grounds with both native and formal gardens. A new, large shaded area is central to the site and is a valuable outside teaching area.
The Middle Campus is mostly situated on the western side of the site. Year 9 classrooms are in the brick teaching block behind the Resource Centre and in the Science area. Year 7/8 classrooms are in and around the purpose built middle-schooling block.
The Middle and Senior Campuses share the specialist facilities at the 7-12 site. Modern science laboratories and art rooms complement a well-equipped Technology Studies workshop, Home Economics centre, Physical Education performance laboratory and Drama rooms. The Campus also has a Plastics and Automotive facility and Applied Learning Centre.
There is an extensive agriculture area with enough room to cater for animals, vines, vegetable gardens and tree propagation. A native animal enclosure is part of an endangered animal’s breeding programme and is home to bettong, potoroos and long-nosed wallabies.
The site boasts three computer suites and computers with Internet access are in all Middle and Senior Campus classrooms.
The Resource Centre includes the Strathalbyn Community Library and Internet Centre. The 7-12 site shares a gymnasium with the nearby Strathalbyn R-6 site.
