Middle and Senior Campus parents are invited to be involved in the campus in a variety of ways. The Middle and Senior Campus Advisory Committees (CAC) meet as a combined 7-12 CAC. This is an important forum for the Heads of Campus to seek and receive parent feedback about specific issues, ideas and practices. The focus of these meetings is generally on the delivery of the educational programme at the site. The meetings are semi-formal, open to all interested parents and are held twice a Term.
Parents are involved in the extra-curricular activities of the Middle and Senior Campus. Many assist with transport, umpiring, managing and coaching sporting teams, assisting with supervision on camps and excursions and with organising fundraising for special events. Some parents assist with classroom activities such as helping with the Learner Assistance Programme (LAP), and help with practical activities, whilst others help out on sports days.
Parents have been extremely supportive with our International Student Program by providing “homestay” accommodation and after hours activities for their visiting students.
The most significant way in which parents can be involved in the campus is to provide encouragement and support for their children’s education and for the directions of the school. Students will be more successful if they can see that the school and their parents are working together in partnership.
