School Priorities
The Eastern Fleurieu School’s Governing Council has established the following priorities within the context of its Site Learning Plans (2004 - 2006) for school improvement and development.

Priority 1            High Achievement and Success for all Students


Priority 2           Engagement and Wellbeing.

Priority 3           Making Connections.

Priorities from DECS Strategic Plan, have also been taken into account within the school’s site learning plans and general developmental programs. Refer to the DECS website www.schools.sa.gov.au/schlparents for details.

The school’s priorities provide a major focus and are supported by annual budgets, staffing and resources. Various school leaders take responsibility for managing each priority and ensure that a “team approach” is taken in the implementation of the plans.

Site learning plans are reviewed each year. This annual review informs the development of action plans for the following year.

 
High Achievement & Success for All

Within this Priority there are three areas.

These Areas are:

  • Students will demonstrate high levels of competency in literacy
  • Students will demonstrate high levels of competency in numeracy
  • Students will effectively use information and communication technologies to facilitate high achievement and effective learning

 

 

 

 

 

 
Engagement & Well Being

Within this Piority there are three areas.

The three areas are as follows:

  • Development of a culture of optimism, resilience and tolerance.
  • Development of inclusive and engaging pedagogies.
  • Development of vocational educational opportunities and pathways.

 
Making Connections

Within this Priority of the site learning plan there are two areas;

These areas are;


· To develop sustainable global, local, cultural and environmental perspectives


· To build and develop partnerships across and within the community and srengthen the development of the community goal.
