Student Voice is essential in the Eastern Fleurieu School. Our students are our focus.Developing partnerships with them helps to build a positive and responsive learning environment within classes and across the school.
Student Voice is fostered and developed through: · Staff being explicit about learning outcomes and negotiating learning with students · Regular classroom meetings in which students practice meeting roles and skills as they make decisions in their classes · Students participating in student representative councils, student forums and student boards · Student making authentic decisions and taking action to support and improve their school R-6 Campuses students are involved in student action teams and committees. The nature of these vary across the primary campuses. The Middle Campus has the Student Forum and the Senior Campus has the Student Board. Governing Council has a representative from the Student Board as a member of the Council. At time representatives from all the student decision making teams and groups may meet to address whole school issues or organise events.
